Aligning the fuselage with the wing root rib

I’ve had a couple of questions about this. This is to correct for a slight mismatch between the wing root rib and the wing root shape on the fibreglass fuselage.

To change the fuselage rib shape to align more accurately with the wing root rib, you need to cut out the inner flap first. If you are not intending to do that, you will need at least to make a cut through the fuselage rib shape from the trailing edge forward to the front of the flap position.

I cut in horizontally through the rear face of the trailing edge to separate the top and bottom halves. This cut was along the curving line of the trailing edge and was about 2 inches long. The diagonal cut in the rib shape was to allow the top of the trailing edge to flex upwards. Flex it all into shape and tape it to the wing root rib, then epoxy it all back together. Simple!
